A short walk to...
Beauty of New Zealand outdoors
Take a 5 minute stroll through native bush to one of the beautiful streams that surround the lodge or to our waterfall.

Fresh water cascades over two 'plunge pools'.

Nature has carved these 'plunge pools' out of the rock over hundreds of thousands of years, and it's a gorgeous place to take a dip.

Follow the river to find many other excellent swimming holes. In the evening, take a 5 minute stroll to the Glow worm caves - their shimmering display is awesome.

Walking through lush native bush, you'll see mature Rimu, Matai and Tawa (trees). We have recently planted baby Kauri trees, and there is an abundance of New Zealand ferns.

Native birds make their home here too - you'll hear the song of the Tui and Wood Pigeon/Kereru and see Fantails flitter above.
